TERMS OF SERVICE

SSG PHOTOGRAPHY

These terms and conditions ensure that both parties have clear expectations and a positive working relationship. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms outlined below.

1. BOOKING & PAYMENTS

  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm any booking. Dates are only secured upon receipt of this deposit.

  • Balance: The remaining balance is payable on the day of the photo-shoot.

  • Release of Work: No images or materials will be released until the final balance is paid in full.

  • Payment Methods: Payments can be made via EFT or cash prior to the shoot.

  • Overtime: Any time exceeding the agreed package will be charged at R1 250 per hour.

  • Interest: We reserve the right to charge interest on any overdue payments.

2. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

  • Forfeiture: Cancellations by the client will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Exceptions: Exceptions are made solely at our discretion for severe weather, mechanical failure, or valid emergencies.

    Expenses: The client may be held liable for any expenses already incurred for the intended event at the time of cancellation.

3. DELIVERY & TURNAROUND

  • Digital Photos: Standard delivery for digital photos is a maximum of 45 Days..

  • Weddings: Due to the complexity of editing, wedding photography may take up to 2 Months.

  • Physical Goods: Delivery for albums or canvases depends on supplier turnaround, with an average wait time of 30 days or less.

4. COPYRIGHT & USAGE

  • Ownership: SSG Photography retains full copyright ownership of all images produced.

  • Restrictions: Images may not be altered, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

  • Transfer: If you wish to own the copyright of the images, an additional fee must be mutually agreed upon in writing before the transfer.

5. FILE RESPONSIBILITY

  • Client Backup: While we back up your photos to our servers, it is your responsibility to keep your delivered files safe once received.

    Reissue Fees: In the event of loss or corruption, we can reissue files for a fee of R5,000.00 for weddings and R3,500.00 for all other events.

6. CONDUCT & LIABILITY

  • Guest Behavior: Clients are responsible for the behavior of their guests during the assignment.

    Termination: We reserve the right to terminate a session immediately if behavior is deemed unsafe, unruly, or disruptive; in such cases, full fees still apply.

    Equipment Damage: The client will be held liable for the full cost of repairs or replacement for any damage to equipment caused by the client or their guests.

7. PRIVACY & DATA (POPIA)

  • We process all personal information and imagery in strict accordance with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

  • Your data is used solely for service delivery and internal record-keeping. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. GENERAL

  • Any modifications to these Terms and Conditions must be agreed upon in writing.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
